- Add the water or pepper juice to bottom of the crockpot.
- Add sliced onions.
- Sprinkle roast with seasonings. In a pan on stovetop. Sear on both sides for a few min-just until brown.
- Add, the roast to crockpot. Sprinkle the Au Jus packet, and ranch packet on top of the roast.Then lay the butter on top of roast.
- Now top the roast with a few of the pepperoncinis. They are not hot at all! Then put on low for 6-8 hours.
- Serve with rice, or potatoes and veggies. This makes a lot of gravy.
