  3. Take 2 tsp Lemon Juice
  4. Prepare 1 tsp Ginger Paste

  7. Make ready 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder

  16. Get 5-6 Potatoes (Boiled, Peeled and Mashed)

Instructions to make Chicken Potato Chops:
  1. Wash the chicken mince nicely and drain out all the water completely.
  2. In a large bowl, add chicken mince, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper powder, cumin powder, chicken masala, turmeric powder and salt. Marinate for few hours or overnight.
  3. Wash and boil the potatoes. Peel and mash the potatoes well. Make sure there are no lumps. Add salt. Mix well. Keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai. Add onions, green chillies and curry leaves and saute till the onions are translucent.
  5. Add the marinated chicken mince and cook on medium flame for 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Reduce the heat to low and cover and cook till the chicken mince is cooked and all the water evaporated. Add coriander leaves and saute for a minute. Keep aside to cool.
  6. For making the Potato Chops: Take a portion of the mashed potatoes, the size of a tennis ball, roll into a ball and flatten to form a thick disc on the palm of your hand. Place a spoon of the chicken mince in the center and bring the sides of the potato disc up and over the filling to cover it well. Shape it to form a patty and keep aside. Continue till you have used up all the mashed potatoes.
  7. Break an egg in a small bowl. Add salt and beat it well. Pour breadcrumbs onto a plate and keep it ready. Keep ready a plate lined with absorbent kitchen paper.
  8. Heat oil in a frying pan. Dip a chop in the egg and turn over making sure it gets coated all over. Coat the chops with the breadcrumbs making sure the potato chop is well coated. So you get a good crunch.
  9. Carefully place the chops in the hot oil and shallow fry till it is golden brown in colour on both sides. Serve warm.
