- Split dough into 2 portions and roll flat. Using shortening to grease the pie dish lay the first crust in the dish.
- Once the apples are tender pour the filling into bottom pie crust
- Using a pizza cutter or knife cut strips in the second pie crust and lay them on top to create the lattice look.
- Sprinkle the top with butter, cinnamon, and sugar and bake at 450 for 40-45 minutes.
